Project objective
Industrial and potable water supply for the Tengiz field and other consumers of Zhylyoi district.
Main facilities
- Tie-in to the Astrakhan – Mangyshlak pipeline
- Pump station with a tank and a metering/treatment unit
- Pipeline infrastructure (metering units on branches, fiscal package)

- Land rights along the entire route
- Technical conditions for all crossings
- Approvals from the Akimat and the Emergency Situations Department
- Environmental assessment
- State expert review in Astana
- Designer's supervision
Challenges
- Category I facility (technically complex)
- More than 200 utility crossings
- Saline soils > 30 %
- High-pressure pump station with variable-frequency drives
- More than 60 km of fibre-optic line
- Very tight schedule
